With all of Seesaw’s exciting features the last two years, we have worked to engage our staff to become excited again about how impactful Seesaw is. This “ignite” session is to share the ideas that we have used over the past year to engage our staff with attending professional development sessions, trying new activities, and using Seesaw more consistently within our K-2 classrooms.

Partner, advocate, and thrive! Here at San Francisco Unified School District, we are working on integrating Seesaw into our Digital Learning Family Partnership Toolkit. Seesaw’s learning loop provides dynamic and equitable ways for families to not only access what’s happening in their student’s classroom but also to respond and give feedback. This enables a digital learning space where family partnerships can thrive.
Bio
Devalin Jackson is the Family Technology Support Designer at San Francisco Unified School District. She leads SFUSD’s Personalized Learning Program and partners with various community members to connect student needs to technology resources. Prior to joining the Digital Learning Team, Devalin taught in classrooms spanning Pre-K through second grade for over a decade. She has always been committed to building and maintaining authentic family and community partnerships
