Joyful Instruction & Engagement for Each Learner: UDL in Action
From neuroscience research, we know every brain is as different as a fingerprint. The challenge before us is -- how do we actually create learning environments where all our different brains can thrive? This is where Universal Design for Learning (UDL) can help. Join me to talk about how UDL was developed and why it’s essential for all students – especially in the earliest years of learning. Let’s discuss how the UDL approach can help you find “hidden” barriers in your lessons and elevate student strengths, so children start to understand how they learn best. When students are engaged and develop a sense of agency, they can also develop a love of learning, and instruction is joyful.

Do early retirements make sense? Can districts still make new investments for academic recovery, or to address absenteeism, special education, or salary improvements? What will it mean for students?
